“Summergrove Estate – There’s no place like it”
We came here for a romantic dinner for two and were expecting a nice restaurant but it surpassed all expectations. The views at sunset to the ocean and city lights was beautiful, as was the atmosphere, with a fireplace and lounges for cocktails (or mocktails!), a beautiful timber bar and live music. The food was just heavenly, and everything was different – bruschetta suddenly wasn’t just boring tomato bruschetta, the in-house bread and dip was like no bread we’d eaten out before, and all used local or estate grown produce. The mains were great portion sizes and just as divine, but what really grabbed us was the free mango gelato served as a palate cleanser after the entree – made from estate mangos, it was beautiful. To finish, the homemade lemon meringue pie was simply heavenly, and the size so big even the two if us struggled to get through it. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, and we gave the biggest tip we’ve ever given as a thank you, they simply couldn’t have been better. Overall, it was a delightful night and exceptionally good value, and we couldn’t recommend it enough. It is absolutely worth the drive there.
