ATMOSPHERE
Noise
While the park is set in the bush, it is located right by the Pacific Highway which has its benefits and drawbacks. The benefits are obviously that it’s not out of the way, for either short or long-term stays. However, you will hear some highway noise from passing trucks. We were only here one night so it wasn’t enough to bother us, but consider this for long-term stays.
Openness
The park doesn’t have a particularly open feel, as it is a bush setting with lots of trees and shade. If you have portable solar panels you should be fine.
Shade
Plenty
Permanents
There are a few permanents, but these are kept tidy and the managers are very conscious of their image so you won’t have any trouble with any of the permanents.
Fires
No
SUITABILITY
We found it more suitable for short-term stopovers, however others may prefer the bushy location and won’t mind the proximity to the highway. It will suit some travellers simply because they’re very welcoming of pets and offer a number of facilities for them.
LOCATION
Road Conditions
The park is located right on the Pacific Highway. The park itself has dirt and sand driveways, and there are plenty of trees on-site, so keep an eye out for these when parking and reversing.
