Our Meals
Chicken Teriyaki Set – Grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce, side salad and miso soup $17.90
The Japanese Bento Box has a long history and can be traced back to the Kamkura Period which ended around 1333. It was developed as a simple way to pack meals for travelling or for serving at festivals. They became more elaborate over time and transitioned from something that was simply functional to a culinary art. Ginga Bento Boxes are a sophisticated interpretation of this historic Japanese tradition.
The chicken was cooked perfectly, so soft, and the sides of white rice, salad and miso soup meant even Wayne had his fill for the night.
Vegetarian Fried Rice $11.90
A huge serving size, and a subtle flavour, we were stoked to take home half the dish as leftovers.
Suitability
Ginga’s at Southbank is a great location for work functions and dinners (they are fully licensed, so pop by for after work drinks), or a couples night out. We stopped by here after a short stroll through Southbank and decided we could do with trying something a little different for a change. We’re very glad we did. The service was very friendly, and our meals were out in well under 10 minutes.
Bookings
The restaurant is quite popular at night so we would suggest booking ahead to ensure you don’t miss out on a seat.
