    Mansfield Holiday Park

    Dates of Stay 31 March – 6 April 2014

    Will We Return Yes

Rates Tent sites from $25. Powered sites from $30. Budget cabins from $70. Ensuite cabins from $80. Miners cottage from $130. Deluxe cabins from $110.

Value for money Good. The park is in close proximity to all Mansfield shops, as well as the alpine village and major 4WD tracks, including Craig’s Hut. The park itself felt very knew and was kept extremely tidy.

    PARK ADMINISTRATION

    Office Hours 9:00 – 5:00pm

After Hours Check-in Speak to the managers if you think you might arrive late.

    Checkout Time 10:00am

    Admin Staff
    Friendliness: Very friendly
Responsiveness to complaints: We had no complaints.
Helpfulness: Very helpful. Happy to answer questions about the area and show us the best track to Craig’s Hut.

    THE PARK

Park Size The park is set on 17 acres of what used to be just farming land. There are approximately 100 sites (all grassed, no concrete slabs), as well as a number of bunkhouses, miner’s huts and two-bedroom family cabins. The layout of the park is fantastic, as it leaves a large grassed area in the middle perfect for kids to play, or if you have a group and want to book out the whole park, it gives a great area to congregate. Perfect for car clubs, etc.

    Drive Through Sites Yes

Landscaping The park has gravel roadways. All sites are grassed. Even with some rain things didn’t get all muddy and mucky. The park is still relatively new so the trees are still growing, however they still offered enough shade. There is landscaping around the amenities, pool and kids playground.

Lighting The park can be dark at night. Take a torch to the bathroom.

Outdoor Kitchen/BBQ There is a camp kitchen and BBQ facilities.

    Shower and Toilet Facilities
Adequate to cope with number of people: Yes
Proximity to sites: The park is spread out so there is a little bit of a walk depending on where your site is, but nothing out of the ordinary or excessive
    Cost: $0.00
Cleanliness: Very clean, though there are no fly screens on the windows so at night if the lights are on they do like to come inside.
    Condition: Very good
    Water pressure: Good
    Adequate hot water: Yes
    Ventilation: Good
    Disabled facilities: Yes
    Family bathrooms: No
    Access: Open
    Doggy bath: No

    Laundry On-site laundry

    Fitness Activities

    Mini golf – Yes
    Gym – No
    Sauna – No

    Child-friendly
    Kids Club – No

    Pets Yes

    ATMOSPHERE

Noise The park is very quiet and tranquil.

Openness The park has trees for shade along the outer edges of the campsites and lush grassy lawns. You do not feel cramped in at all. All sites are relatively level.

Shade Yes, though the trees are still growing as it is only a new park.

    Permanents A few

    Fires Yes

    SUITABILITY
Depending on what you need, it is suitable for both short and long-term stopovers. It’s located convenient to everything around the Victorian High Country. We planned to stay here only 2 days, and ended up staying for a week, and could have stayed for weeks more, we enjoyed it so much.

    LOCATION

Road Conditions The park itself has only gravel roads, all of which are in great condition. No speed bumps.

Nearby Attractions Within driving distance of the Victorian High Country, Craig’s Hut, Alpine villages, and Mansfield’s CBD.
