With stunning views (both day and night) from the pinnacle of Mt. Mee, less than an hour’s drive from Brisbane, sit back and enjoy the ambience of Birches Restaurant. Ideal for a romantic night out, sit by the open fireplace and soak up the candle-lit atmosphere. The staff are just absolutely lovely, evidenced by the fact that within 2 minutes of hearing we were enjoying a belated anniversary dinner, a dinner plate arrived complete with sparklers and edible chocolate stating “Happy Anniversary + 1 wk”. As for the food? There is not one thing at all that could be faulted, from the bread that just melted in your mouth to the incredible creamy soup, and the mains … if you are a vegetarian and struggle to find restaurant-quality mains, look no further. The entire night was an absolute pleasure and we would return without hesitation.
